What data we process

Account data: name, email, phone number, town and language.

Affected people: address, location (if you share it), description and photos of the damage, number of people in the home and, if you say so, whether there are elderly, disabled or dependent people. That last item may reveal health information and is only processed with your explicit consent.

Volunteers: what you offer, your availability and the requests you sign up to help with.

Why, and on what legal basis

To coordinate help after the DANA floods: so the town council and brigades in your town know your situation, can prioritise it and can organise volunteers.

The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a and 9.2.a), which you give when signing up and can withdraw at any time. When a brigade registers someone without internet access, it does so with that person's consent or, where their life or health is at risk, to protect their vital interests (GDPR art. 6.1.d and 9.2.c).

Who can see your data

Only the town council and brigades in your town can see your full data.

Volunteers never see your name, phone number or exact address: only the street, the type of damage and a text written by the brigade without personal data. If a brigade accepts a volunteer, the brigade tells them where to go.

We do not sell or share data with third parties. The platform runs on Google Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd.), which acts as data processor. Some of its services may process data outside the European Economic Area; such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

For as long as the emergency and recovery last, and for no more than 12 months after you last used the platform. After that it is deleted or anonymised. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, request portability and withdraw your consent by writing to ajuda@dana-adam.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Cookies and storage

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser only stores what is technically necessary to keep you logged in, which does not require consent.
